The farm comprises 11.5 hectares of plastic-covered Multispan greenhouse tunnels that are 136-m-long by 36-m-wide to grow the strawberries. At Vusi’s Farm, we are very passionate about producing the highest quality strawberries. The farm employees have decades of experience in the agricultural sector, which aids in the cultivation of world-class strawberries. Vusi’s Farm is a leading supplier to the local market and plans to enter the export market, once the farm has reached optimum farming production capacity.

coco fibre
Our succulent strawberries are housed in climatic-controlled greenhouses that are grown in coco fibre. This totally inert autoclaved material accommodates the roots of the strawberry plants, which eliminates soil-borne diseases. The coco fibre also gives good drainage, enabling excess runoff water to be reused. Once the farm has reached full capacity it will produce around 850 tons of strawberries yearly. Vusi’s Farm produces bright-red sweet and juicy strawberries that are ideal for any occasion!
hydroponic gutter
Another innovative technology is the use of a hydroponic gutter growing system. There are 100 kilometres of hydroponic gutters installed at Vusi’s Farm. This technique ensures that the strawberries are grown high above the soil’s surface and are therefore not in contact with the soil. This has the benefit that the strawberry fruit hangs in the air and does not touch any material and thereby aiding in the prevention of fungal growth.
packhouse
The farm's primary packhouse is around 1500 square meter in size, which includes the fridges, grading hall and administrative offices. It is here where the pickers transport the strawberries using harvesting trolleys and where the strawberries are graded and packaged.
